Bob
Hi, I'm Bob, and I started with the TSA in September 2002. I work at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport. (CVG). I started as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), and have since been promoted to a Supervisory TSO and a Behavior Detection Officer.

In my five years with TSA, I've also worked as an Operations Watch Officer, Training Coordinator, Instructor and I served on TSA's first National Advisory Council - a group representing TSA's frontline workforce in discussions with TSA leadership on security and workplace issues.

I live in Southwest Ohio with my wife, 3-year-old daughter, and a 100 pound German shepherd named Clarence. By the way, my wife is currently expecting in August. It's a girl!

Prior to the TSA I was a singer songwriter and traveled the world with my band. Songwriting is now one of my hobbies along with record collecting, ugly ties and photography. My favorite type of music is pre-punk garage rock music from the 1960s.

Chance
My name is Chance, and I work as an analyst at the Transportation Security Administration in Arlington, VA. Originally I’m from Columbus Georgia, though now I’m quite happy to be a “Marylander of Georgian descent”. Before coming to TSA I served 8 years in the U.S. Army, where I had the opportunity to work in a variety of places, from Honduras to the Republic of Korea.

Along the way, I had some great experiences, met some fascinating people, and learned a little too. I’ve been with TSA just over 3 years, and I enjoy my profession immensely. After work I enjoy reading nonfiction, Wii and PC gaming, and introducing my 21 month old to the world.

Ethel
Hi! My name is Ethel and I'm from Wisconsin. I like music, I love ice cream, and I adore weird facts: Did you know that elephants can smell water from as far away as three miles? I joined the TSA about a year ago - prior to that I attended MIT where I earned degrees in Biology, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and had the amazing opportunity to work on projects like designing artificial gravity systems for NASA.

In my free time, I was an EMT, started an ice cream store (did I mention I LOVE ice cream), and perfected my hog calling skills to the level of qualifying as a finalist at the 2005 Wisconsin State Fair. I also enjoy traveling and am working for the day to come when everyone can keep their shoes on at the security checkpoint!

Jay
Hi, I'm Jay, and I started with the TSA in June 2002 as a Federal Air Marshal and today I work as a Federal Security Director in the Midwest. Prior to beginning my career with the TSA my field of expertise was law enforcement and business, however people might be surprised to know I was also a high school football coach and a Dean of Students.

I’m married and have two daughters and one son. My hobbies are spending all free time I have with my family and exercising.

Nico
I'm Nico and I have been with the TSA since just about the beginning, January 3, 2002 to be exact, 35 days after Congress created the agency. I currently manage public affairs for the agency in the Pacific region which includes California, Arizona and Hawaii, though I have served as the primary media POC for as many as 16 states at one time or another.

I came to the TSA after serving 10 active years in the Navy and am now a Navy Reserve officer with over 17 years in uniform. My wife served in the Navy for 10 years, my brother continues to serve, another brother served and my kids can't wait to serve. A Navy family some would say.

On September 11, I was scheduled to attend a meeting in the Pentagon, in the same corridor where the plane hit, though I avoided the meeting because I was watching television coverage of the World Trade Center. On that day it became clear that the world my children would grow up in is a significantly different world than the one we knew. Securing our homeland is certainly a passion for me.
