Duties and Responsibilities:  Serves as a liaison concerning budget and financial management matters between the Federal Security Director and the Transportation Security Administration headquarters. Assists in planning, directing, evaluating and integrating budget and financial activities within the airport environment.  Serves as a source of information for the Federal Security Director and the Administrative Officer on budget, time and attendance (T&A), leave, and/or pay as it relates to the budget process.  Answers questions from employees and passes on complex problems to the manager.  Researches, analyzes, audits and interprets budget and financial reports.  Coordinates issues with the Administrative Officer and the Human Resources Office when necessary.  Advises supervisor of unusual requirements and makes recommendations on budget and financial matters.

  • Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to budget and financial resources.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate budget and financial information and to make recommendations and/or decisions.
  • Ability to apply agency policies and procedures in the development of financial resource plans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
