FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today named Jim Blair as the Assistant Administrator for Aviation Operations. He replaces Ken Kasprisin, who has held the job in an acting capacity and will return to Minneapolis-St. Paul as Area Director/Federal Security Director.
Blair, who has served as Federal Security Director for McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada for two years will be succeeded by Dennis Clark, TSA's current Deputy Assistant Administrator for Aviation Operations.
Rear Adm. David M. Stone, USN (Ret.), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for TSA, said Kasprisin and Clark had expressed a desire to continue to lead security efforts at critical airports in the field, while Blair was eager for additional responsibilities and an opportunity to shape TSA's future at the headquarters level.
"All three of these public servants are top-notch leaders who are highly committed to aviation security," Assistant Secretary Stone said. "Rotating assignments between the field and headquarters strengthens TSA overall, with benefits flowing to the traveling public."
