TSA Pre✓® begins at Fort Wayne International Airport

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Transportation Security Administration today announced the start of TSA Pre✓® operations at Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA). TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that allows select FWA flyers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels in a carry-on bag.

TSA Administrator John Pistole to retire from TSA

WASHINGTON – John S. Pistole, the Transportation Security Administration’s longest serving administrator, today announced his retirement from public service, effective Dec. 31, 2014, following more than 31 years in the federal government, including four and a half years at TSA and 26 years at the FBI.

In the coming weeks, Administrator Pistole is expected to be named to a position in academia beginning in early 2015.

TSA Pre✓™ application center now open at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

PHOENIX — The Transportation Security Administration and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) today announced the opening of an application site for TSA Pre✓™, an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels in a carry-on bag. TSA has opened more than 300 application centers across the country, including 28 airport locations.

TSA Pre✓™ is an expedited screening program that allows select XNA flyers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels in a carry-on bag.

TSA is currently in the process of expanding to more than 300 application centers across the country.
