For the upcoming holiday travel period, passengers are reminded to prepare for the airport security screening process before arriving at the airport. Being prepared for security before reaching the checkpoint, helps make the process easier for you and other passengers.
Enhance your screening experience with TSA Pre✓™. TSA Pre✓™ allows passengers to keep on shoes, light jackets, and a belt, via participating airlines out of select airports. Laptops, large electronics and permissible liquids stay in your carry-on baggage. Learn more about TSA Pre✓™ eligibility requirements and how to apply.
Fireworks are prohibited at the airport. All fireworks are explosive materials and are not permitted in checked or carry-on baggage.
My TSA app
The MyTSA mobile application provides travelers with 24/7 access to the most commonly requested TSA information on their mobile device. Travelers can use the “Can I bring my…” app to check what items are allowed/not allowed in carry–on and checked baggage. Items that are purchased after the security checkpoint have been prescreened and can be taken on the plane.
Download the iOS and Android versions of the My TSA app on iTunes and Google Play. To access the mobile web version of My TSA on any mobile device visit tsa.gov/mobile.
