The Office of Human Capital, Workforce Planning and Career Development (WPCD) conducts interviews and focus groups with employees in TSA positions as well as others familiar with the positions to gather and validate information on major job functions, competencies, and competency-building activities. From this information, WPCD develops detailed job information for each position that is then reviewed and validated by TSA managers and supervisors. Information on minimum selection qualifications and pay bands is obtained from the Office of Human Capital.
