Transit Security Stakeholders,

DHS is interested in hosting an after-action conference this summer in order to hear your feedback about the FY08 grants process for TSGP, IBSGP, FRSGP and TSP. We are trying to determine if there is enough interest in holding such a conference. The conference will likely be two days long and representatives from TSA Mass Transit, TSA Highway Motor Carrier, TSA Freight Rail, TSA TSNI (grants management team), and FEMA will attend. The conference will likely take place the second week in July.

At this conference we would discuss highlights from FY08 as well as facilitate discussions in order to gather feedback. Potential areas include the grant guidance, Investment Justification, funding priorities, security partner outreach, and other topics. This would be a forum for you to share your feedback about the FY08 process in an open forum to potentially influence the FY09 cycle, as well as network with other transit security professionals.

Please respond to us at tsagrants@tsa.dhs.gov by May 9th, 2008 if you would be interested in attending such a conference. If we receive enough interest, then we will move forward immediately with scheduling the conference. DHS will not be providing funding for your travel; however, travel to this type of conference is an allowable use of M&A from DHS grants.
