WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has named Chris McLaughlin the federal security director for Denver International Airport (DIA).
“Chris’s exemplary leadership for Frontier Airlines at DIA and proven track record in the aviation industry make him a perfect fit to lead TSA operations at one of the nation’s busiest airports,” said Lee Kair, TSA’s assistant administrator for Security Operations. “He is already well-known and well-respected in the aviation community at DIA, and TSA feels especially fortunate to be welcoming him to our team.”
McLaughlin most recently served as senior director of hub operations for Frontier Airlines. In that role, he was responsible for all ground operations for Frontier at DIA, including all facets of customer service, ramp service, baggage services, tower management, ground maintenance, aircraft appearance, and general administration. Previously, he was director of station operations for Frontier, overseeing the ground operations in all of the airports that Frontier serves outside of Denver. Prior to joining Frontier, he served as the hub director for Air Wisconsin Airlines in Dulles, Va. after beginning his aviation career with Air Wisconsin in Aspen, Colo.
McLaughlin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and Hispanic studies from Connecticut College in New London, Conn.
