Newark Officer Detects Artfully Concealed Knife

A TSA officer at Terminal A at Newark-Liberty International Airport (EWR) detected an artfully concealed knife in a piece of carry-on baggage Monday morning, Aug. 22. The concealed weapon was found during X-ray screening underneath the wooden paneling of a leather carry-on bag belonging to a male passenger. TSA officials notified the Port Authority Police Department, which responded to the checkpoint and confiscated the weapon.
