TSA Today
By Mary Sage, Stakeholder and Customer Service Manager, General Mitchell International Airport (Milwaukee)

Using video footage, TSA reunited a passenger at General Mitchell International Airport with her lost necklace and watch, valued at an estimated $2,500.
After searching the area, conducting interviews and determining the items were sent through X-ray, Assistant FSD for Law Enforcement Edward Rooney reached out to airport operations to review the checkpoint video. The footage showed a man walking off with the divest bowl – containing the necklace and watch – toward the sterile area.
As Rooney looked for the suspect, he encountered the woman and described the man in the video to her. She recalled overhearing the suspect discuss his travel plans to Philadelphia.
When the man arrived in Philadelphia, he was met by airport police and TSA. He admitted to stealing the items and was arrested on a state charge of receiving stolen property.
