A former Los Angeles International Airport TSO is one of eight men left in the FOX TV singing reality show American Idol.

Chikezie, 22, from Inglewood, Calif., worked as an LAX TSO in Terminals 4, 5 and 6 until last year when he voluntarily left the agency.

According to his last security manager, Raul Matute, a renowned musician in his own rite, Chikezie was an easy-going and fun employee. "He was a fun guy to have on staff," Matute said, "you could tell early on that he was very focused on his dream." Matute says that during breaks or on his way to work in the bus, Chikezie would sing along with his iPod for everyone to enjoy. "It was very clear that he loved to sing."

Matute also had successfully recruited Chikezie to participate in the LAX TSA choir.

As Chikezie heads to the round of eight, be sure to watch American Idol and Fox and vote for your former colleague.
