TSA Statement Regarding Suspicious Package at Detroit Airport

At approximately 9:49 a.m. TSA canine units alerted to a suspicious package in the delivery area of the McNamara Terminal of the Detroit Airport. Wayne County Airport Police and the Explosives Ordinance Disposal (EOD) unit responded to the scene.

The Transportation Security Administration closed the checkpoint and established a perimeter, moving passengers out of the affected area. All inbound vehicular traffic was stopped. EOD units are examining the package at this time.
