Suspicious Item Discovered on Passenger at Los Angeles International Airport

A suspicious item was discovered on a passenger undergoing secondary screening at Los Angeles International Airport on March 6, 2007. There has been no impact to airport or terminal operations.
US Airways flight 1422, scheduled from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, diverted to Las Vegas in an abundance of caution to remove the passenger’s checked baggage, which was thoroughly screened prior to departure.
