New TSO to Passenger’s Rescue

Trainee TSO Matthew Goodyear immediately began CPR on an elderly man who fell to the floor with an apparent heart attack at Akron-Canton Regional Airport recently.

Trained as an emergency medical technician, Goodyear was assisted by passengers in helping the man to start breathing again. A rescue squad arrived and took him to a hospital.

"Thanks to Matt's quick observation, situation assessment and expertise, the passenger was able to celebrate another Christmas with his family," said Rickey Jones, assistant FSD.
