The value of Behavior Detection Officers (BDOs) proved themselves once again Monday, when a BDO at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport observed a passenger displaying suspicious behaviors.

At 1:30 a.m. March 10, a BDO referred a Delta Airlines passenger to secondary screening. During the subsequent screening, BDOs discovered that the passenger had multiple pieces of fraudulent identification.

Each piece of ID belonged to different names, each bearing the photo of the passenger.

Law enforcement officers from the Phoenix Police Department responded, confiscated the false forms of identification, interviewed the passenger and arrested him on a felony forgery charge.

"Any time, day or night, or in this case, the middle of the night, our trained officers are on the alert," said Annie Nelson, Acting Federal Security Director at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
