Spanish Delegation Learns How TSA Carries Out Mission

News & Happenings

Photo of an airport terminalA six-person aviation security delegation from Spain visited TSA headquarters the week of Sept. 28 to become familiar with how the agency carries out its mission. The delegation included members of the newly created Agency for Aviation Safety and Security, the Airports Authority and two national law enforcement bodies: the National Police and Guardia Civil.

TSA's Office of Global Strategies (OGS) prepared an extensive agenda that covered the gamut of security activities. During the visit members of the delegation met with TSA leadership, as well as learning more about TSA operations, deployment of technology, the Federal Air Marshal Service and best practices at local airports. This visit marked a new phase that builds on the excellent working relationship between the two countries.

This visit is one example of TSA's outreach and coordination with our international partners.
