WASHINGTON, D.C. – Larry Sisneros, the Assistant Federal Security Director (FSD) for Regulatory Inspections at Boise Air Terminal/Gowen Field, has been named Acting Federal Security Director (FSD) at the airport, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today.
"Larry Sisneros will provide strong, top-notch leadership for our screeners in Boise," said Rear Adm. David M. Stone, USN (Ret.), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for TSA. "Larry's knowledge and experience will be an invaluable asset to TSA, the airport, and ultimately the passengers."
Sisneros replaces Julian Gonzales, the FSD at Boise since 2002. Gonzales announced his resignation earlier today, citing personal reasons.
The position of federal security director was created by the Aviation and Transportation Security Act signed by President Bush on November 19, 2001.
