TSA Names Robert Ellis, Jr. As Federal Security Director At Philadelphia International Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Robert Ellis, Jr., Director of the Assessments and Acting Director Office of National Risk Assessment for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), has been named Federal Security Director (FSD) at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) the TSA announced today.

"TSA’s Federal Security Directors represent a corps of talented men and women with distinguished careers who are dedicated to providing top-notch leadership to our screeners and to airports nationwide," said Rear Adm. David M. Stone, USN (Ret.), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration.  "The knowledge and experience Bob Ellis brings to Philadelphia International Airport will be an invaluable asset to TSA as we continue in our war against terrorism."

Ellis replaces William Leahy, the Federal Security Director at PHL since March 2004.  Leahy announced his resignation earlier this week for personal reasons.
