WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) named Randy D. Parsons as the federal security director at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Parsons brings more than 33 years of program management experience in public and private infrastructure protection, counterterrorism, intelligence, law enforcement, education and business.

"Randy’s leadership abilities and law enforcement experience will allow the TSA to continue to achieve and exceed our goals at Sky Harbor," said Lee Kair, TSA’s assistant administrator for Security Operations. “Our men and women at Sky Harbor will certainly benefit from his experience.”

Parsons spent 20 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. As special agent in charge of the Los Angeles office, he managed program strategy, development, planning, operations and crisis response activities in an area that included a population of 18 million people and 42,000 square miles.
