WASHINGTON — Today, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator John S. Pistole met with over 20 security organizations to hear their input on airport security for TSA employees, airport and law enforcement officials, and the 1.8 million passengers who travel each day.
Administrator Pistole expressed his commitment to working with other leaders in the airport security community to ensure everything is done to keep airports safe and secure for employees and the traveling public alike. Administrator Pistole also reinforced TSA’s ongoing commitment to working collaboratively to stay ahead of evolving threats.
Attendees provided feedback and ideas from their respective organizations in order to engage in a dialogue about airport security policies and protocols.
The meeting was held at TSA headquarters in Arlington, Va. and attendees included state and local law enforcement, federal partners and a broad representation of aviation stakeholders who came together in response to the events at Los Angeles International Airport.
