TSA Pledges $3.4 Million For Explosive Detection Systems At Pittsburgh International Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has agreed to commit $3.4 million to Allegheny County Airport Authority for improvements to be made to the existing checked baggage screening system in the North Landside Terminal of Pittsburgh International Airport, Rear Adm. David M. Stone, USN (Ret.), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for TSA, announced today.

Littleton, Colo. — The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA), in conjunction with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), announces the formation of a new FEEA TSA Fund for the purpose of assisting TSA employees and their families facing natural disasters or personal crises. This is a standing fund that will provide grant assistance on an as-needed basis.

Secretary Ridge Unveils Registered Traveler Pilot Program At Reagan National Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a continued effort to enhance aviation security and ease screening for thousands of travelers, the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today expanded operations for the Registered Traveler Pilot Program to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. American Airlines has been selected to partner with TSA at both Reagan National and Boston Logan airports. Similar pilots were launched successfully with other airline partners in Minneapolis (Northwest Airlines) and Los Angeles (United Airlines) in July and in Houston (Continental Airlines) and Boston in August.
