New TSA Canine Program Will Significantly Enhance Air Cargo Security

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced a new canine program to enhance explosives detection capabilities in air cargo facilities nationwide. The launch of this program marks the first time that TSA is training its own employees to be explosives detection canine handlers.

TSA Names General Manager for Commercial Airports Security Division

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced the appointment of Douglas Hofsass as general manager, Commercial Airports Security Division, Transportation Sector Network Management. In his previous capacity, Hofsass was the federal security director at LaGuardia Airport, New York City, where he also oversaw TSA security operations at Long Island MacArthur (Islip) Airport, Westchester County Airport and the Manhattan heliports for the past two years.

St. Louis Port Workers Begin Enrollment for Federal Port Security Credential
