CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced the start of TSA Pre✓™ operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). At CLT, select US Airways frequent flyers and members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler program are now eligible to participate in the initiative. In addition to US Airways, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines are also operational at CLT and eligible TSA Pre✓™ passengers traveling on these airlines may access the TSA Pre✓™ lane for expedited screening.

PHILADELPHIA – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced disciplinary action against seven employees at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) for professional misconduct. Following an eight-month investigation, TSA management at PHL and the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General (OIG) found several employees involved in bribery.

WASHINGTON – Today, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the European Commission announced an unprecedented air cargo security partnership with the European Union and Switzerland, paving the way for improved information sharing, stronger security, and more efficient transportation of cargo between the U.S. and the EU. Air cargo traffic between the EU and the U.S. amounts to over a million tons a year travelling each way across the Atlantic, which is over 20% of all outbound air cargo from the EU (2010 figures).
