TSA Pre✓™ Expands to Alaska Airlines’ Frequent Flyers

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced Alaska Airlines as the third air carrier to partner with the agency to offer TSA Pre✓™ benefits to passengers. TSA Pre✓™ is a pre-screening initiative that allows passengers to volunteer information about themselves to expedite their screening experience. Select Alaska Airlines' frequent flyers are now eligible to participate at Portland International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for domestic travel. Alaska Airlines joins American Airlines and Delta Air Lines as current partners with the TSA Pre✓™ initiative.

TSA Sets Cargo Screening Deadline for International Inbound Passenger Aircraft

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced it has set a deadline for passenger air carriers to conduct 100 percent cargo screening on international flights bound for the United States. Beginning December 3, 2012, all cargo shipments loaded on passenger aircraft must undergo screening for explosives, fulfilling a requirement of the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act.

TSA Pre✓™ Benefits Now Available to Service Members Traveling Through Seattle-Tacoma

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced that TSA Pre✓™ operations begin today at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for active duty service members in the U.S. Armed Forces. Service members are now eligible to receive expedited screening benefits in addition to select frequent flyers and members of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program when traveling out of SEA.

TSA Pre✓™ Begins at Portland International Airport

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced the start of TSA Pre✓™ operations at Portland International Airport (PDX). TSA Pre✓™ is a passenger pre-screening initiative and select Alaska Airlines' frequent flyers traveling out of PDX are now eligible to receive expedited screening for domestic travel. American Airlines and Delta Air Lines frequent flyers are also eligible to participate out of PDX.

TSA Pre✓™ is a passenger pre-screening initiative and at MCO select Delta frequent flyers and members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs are now eligible to participate and may receive expedited screening benefits when traveling domestically.

TSA Announces Testing of Document Verification Technologies

WASHINGTON– The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced it began testing new technologies designed to enhance TSA's ability to identify altered or fraudulent passenger identification documents and boarding passes at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The technology will also be tested at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in the coming weeks.

TSA Pre✓™ Expands to Additional Terminals at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport

DALLAS – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced the expansion of TSA Pre✓™ operations at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to checkpoints A-35 and D-30 beginning April 10. TSA Pre✓™ is a passenger pre-screening initiative that allows qualified passengers to go through an expedited security process, which among other benefits, allows them to keep their shoes and light outerwear on while going through the checkpoint. At DFW, select American Airlines frequent flyers are now eligible to participate and may receive expedited screening benefits when traveling domestically.
