TSA Pre✓™ Formally Expands to Members of the Military at More Than 100 Airports

WASHINGTON — As the result of the ongoing partnership with the Department of Defense (DoD), starting tomorrow, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will officially extend TSA Pre✓™ expedited screening benefits to all U.S. Armed Forces service members. Service members, including those serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Reserves and National Guard will be able to enjoy the benefits of this expedited screening program at more than 100 participating airports when flying on nine major U.S. airlines.

TSA Pre✓™ Expands to Include JetBlue Airways

WASHINGTON — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced the expansion of TSA Pre✓™ to include eligible customers of JetBlue Airways who utilize the airline’s mobile app. Today’s announcement makes a total of nine domestic carriers including: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America.

(As Prepared for Delivery) Good morning and thank you. I appreciate the opportunity to join Director Zak, Administrator Huerta and Minister Singh on this morning’s panel. As we have seen in the dozen years the September 11, 2001 attacks, aviation security is a global concern, and one of the most effective tools we have in this fight is the cooperation among nations determined to protect the freedom of their citizens to travel, and to ensure the free flow of commerce that drives the world economy. Conferences such as this and the discussions we are having today are an important piece of those collaborative efforts.

TSA Hosts 11th Annual Disability and Multicultural Coalition Conference

WASHINGTON — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) hosted nearly 40 disability and multicultural organizations at the 11th Annual TSA Coalition Conference held at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Sept. 19, 2013. The TSA Disability and Multicultural Coalition include leaders from organizations representing various disabilities, cultural and religious communities.

TSA Pre✓™ Expands to 60 Additional Airports

WASHINGTON — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today that it will expand its TSA expedited screening program to 60 new airports in addition to the existing 40, bringing the total number of airports with TSA Pre✓™ to 100. These airports are expected to have TSA Pre✓™ lanes at select checkpoints by the end of the year.

The agency also will expand the number of TSA Pre✓™ lanes and availability at the existing 40 airports in the coming weeks.
