4 Montana airports awarded private screening contract

BILLINGS, Mont. — The Transportation Security Administration today announced the selection of Comprehensive Security Services Inc. and FirstLine Transportation Security Inc. — a joint venture — as the private screening contractors under the agency's Screening Partnership Program. These companies will provide screening service for four airports in Montana: Bert Mooney Airport (BTM), Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), Glacier Park International Airport (GPI) and Yellowstone Airport (WYS).

TSA Pre✓™ application center now open at Tampa International Airport

TAMPA, Fla. — The Transportation Security Administration and Tampa International Airport today announced the opening of an application site for TSA Pre✓™, an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels in a carry-on bag. TSA is currently in the process of expanding to more than 300 application centers across the country.

TSA introduces new baggage screening equipment at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport

NEW YORK - The Transportation Security Administration has installed a new piece of high-tech baggage screening equipment at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) to screen checked baggage instead of having TSA officers manually inspect each piece of baggage whether it is a suitcase, duffel-bag, knapsack, box, golf bag or other item.

TSA is currently in the process of expanding to more than 300 application centers across the country.

First-ever, co-located application center for TSA Pre✓™ and Global Entry now open at PIT

PITTSBURGH — The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Allegheny County Airport Authority today announced the opening of the first-ever, co-located application site for TSA Pre✓™ and Global Entry at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). This joint TSA/CBP center will offer passengers in the Pittsburgh-area the option to choose a program that best fits their individual travel needs. TSA Pre✓™ and Global Entry provide an improved passenger experience, while enhancing security and increasing system-wide efficiencies.
