TSA headquarters hosts over 480 children on Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® day

Father and son participating in an activity during Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® day More than 37 million youth and adults participate at over 3.5 million workplaces each year to participate in the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® day. This year marked the 21st year of the program and the event took place on April 24.

Hundreds of employees were joined by their children, ages 5 to 18, at TSA headquarters in Arlington, Va. for a day filled with activities and refreshments.

Activities included a simulated airport checkpoint, a K-9 demonstration, an iPad-based X-ray scanner game, and a secret identity workshop where kids could get fingerprinted and create superhero masks.

The annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day event grows in popularity each year, and provides an opportunity for children to understand their parents’ careers as well as envision their future in a hands-on and interactive work environment.
