Public Information That Does Not Require a FOIA Request

Public documents, including public court and administrative filings such as complaints, final judgments, as well as statements of policy and interpretations, staff manuals, guidelines, press releases, speeches, Congressional testimony, business review letters are available on this web site. If you are interested in obtaining public documents that are not posted, you may contact us by phone: 1-866-364-2872 or locally at 571-227-2300, fax: 571-227-1406 or e-mail: FOIA@tsa.dhs.gov.

Multi-Track Processing

A system in which simple requests requiring relatively minimal review are placed in one processing track and more voluminous and complex requests are placed in one or more other tracks. Requests in each track are processed on a first in/first out basis.

Track one is for those requests which seek and receive expedited processing pursuant to subsection (a)(6)(E) of the FOIA. The second track is for those requests which do not involve voluminous records or lengthy consultations with other entities. Track three is for those requests which involve voluminous records and for which lengthy or numerous consultations are required, or those requests which may involve sensitive records.
