2010 International Pipeline Security Forum
The 2010 International Pipeline Security Forum was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 27 - 28, 2010. Approximately 200 people attended and based on the feedback received from the attendees the forum was a huge success. Individual speakers and panels discussed numerous security related topics of interest to the pipeline industry, including pipeline security training and exercises, cyber security and SCADA and IT vulnerabilities, pipeline security programs implemented by industry operators, Canadian pipeline security standards, pipeline blast mitigation technology, pipeline security operations centers, integrating safety and security into large events, the TSA Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) Program, pipeline incidents in the Niger Delta, and a review of the bombings of oil and gas pipeline facilities in Canada.
