What situations could delay the adjudication of my claim?

There are many reasons for a possible delay in adjudicating your claim:

• If your claim is insufficient or not complete.
• If the investigator must call for original receipts, claim information, or to clarify your statement of fact.
• If we do not have current contact information.
• If the claim is for a high dollar amount.
• If there is evidence that a possible theft occurred (the claim may be forwarded to law enforcement officials for further investigation)
• Other factors depending on the complexity of your claim.

TSA strives to complete every claim within sixty (60) days of receipt.
