Transit Security Grant Program (Tier II) Awards

Grant Awards for Fiscal Years 2006 through 2010

• FY 2010 grant awards total $23.7 million.
• Eligible grant recipients are intracity rail and bus systems in 51 Urban Areas.
• FY 2010 Funding Priorities reflect cost-effective projects that prevent or protect against terrorism and will have an immediate impact in reducing risk. Examples include: security training for frontline employees; visible/unpredictable deterrence activities; drills and exercises; public awareness programs; and critical infrastructure hardening including high-density multi-user stations.
