Grants Programs FY 2011
The Freight Rail Security Grant Program (FRSGP) is a component of the Transit Security Grant Program (TSGP), which is one of five grant programs that constitute the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fiscal year (FY) 2011 focus on infrastructure protection activities. The FRSGP is one tool among a comprehensive set of measures authorized by Congress and implemented by the Administration to help strengthen the Nation's critical infrastructure against risks associated with potential terrorist attacks.
The FRSGP was created as a result of Public Law 110-53, Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 and the Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011 (Public Law 112-10.) Please reference the documents below for an overview of highlights and key changes for this year’s program.
