Prior to this assignment, Mr. Wilson served as an Assistant General Manager, GA, providing leadership and technical oversight of overall GA policy, long-range GA objectives, and programs such as the Private Charter Standard Security Program, the Twelve Five Standard Security Program, the Maryland Three Program and the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) Access Standard Security Program.

In the GA community, Mr. Wilson is known as a leader in responding to new and emerging threats, as well as programs that include, but are not limited to, the following: the Large Aircraft Security Program Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, the General Aviation Outreach Program, the General Aviation Principal Security Specialists Branch, the Airspace Coordination Branch, and the General Aviation Airport Assessment Survey.

General aviation is a vital component of the aviation sector and national economy that accounts for 77 percent of all flights in the United States. It encompasses a wide range of activities, including pilot training, flying for business and personal reasons, the delivery of emergency medical services, and sightseeing.

As the Acting General Manager of GA, Mr. Wilson will call upon his extensive GA experience to lead TSA's strategy of enhancing security within the GA sector by partnering with industry to develop and implement GA policies, programs, rules, and regulations that increase security, while creating efficiencies and reducing burdens on operators.
