Katrina Brisbon was named Assistant Administrator for the Office of Contracting and Procurement in November 2017. Brisbon is responsible for the oversight of contract operations, contract policy and business systems for TSA. She provides executive leadership and senior technical expertise for the strategic planning of TSA’s $3.8 billion acquisition portfolio. Brisbon also serves as the executive liaison to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Chief of Procurement on all matters related to contracts and procurement, policy legislation and the workforce.
Prior to assuming her current duties, Brisbon served as the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Vice Procurement Services Executive and the Vice Director of the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization. In this capacity, she provided oversight of strategic planning for the acquisition of telecommunications systems, information technology assets and associated services for annual obligations of approximately $5 billion.
Prior to TSA, Brisbon served as the Chief of Procurement Policy and Oversight for the U.S. Coast Guard, where she was the principal business advisor in contracting. She provided oversight for procurement operations, managed the contracting career development program, executed internal controls and led the development and implementation of procurement policy for the Coast Guard’s geographically dispersed civilian and military procurement acquisition workforce.
Brisbon is a graduate of Liberty University, where she received a Master of Business Administration. She also holds a master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Computer Science and Business Administration from Newberry College. She has earned multiple acquisition awards for her efforts and contributions to the Department of Homeland Security.
