Deputy Executive Assistant Administrator/Deputy Director Brian C. Belcher

Brian Belcher currently serves as the Deputy Executive Assistant Administrator/Deputy Director for the Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service (LE/FAMS).

Prior to this assignment, Belcher served as the Executive Director of the Flight Programs Branch within the Flight Operations Division. He was responsible for overseeing a number of programs including the TSA Insider Threat Program and Counter Man-Portable Air Defense Systems.

Belcher has served in multiple leadership roles at LE/FAMS. He was the Supervisory Air Marshal in Charge (SAC) of the Washington Field Office, Cincinnati Field Office, and Transportation Security Operations Center, as well as the Regional Director of Field Operations. Belcher has also served as SAC in the Flight Programs Division, where he was responsible for overseeing many programs including the Federal Flight Deck Officer Program and the Crew Member Self-Defense Training Program. 

Before joining LE/FAMS, Belcher worked as the Deputy Director for Law Enforcement for TSA. In this position, he oversaw the development of rules and regulations for the implementation of security measures on private charters, and the increase in baseline security requirements for airports and air carriers.

Belcher has spent over 30 years working in aviation security. He started as a Federal Air Marshal with the Federal Aviation Administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Security Administration from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
