Kelli Ann Burriesci was selected in May 2019 to serve as TSA’s first Assistant Administrator for Enrollment Services and Vetting Programs in Operations Support.
Most recently, Burriesci served as the Principal Deputy Director for the Terrorist Screening Center, providing senior executive leadership for the U.S. Government’s multi-agency, counterterrorism watchlisting component.
Prior to her time at the TSC, Burriesci served at the Department of Homeland Security as the first career Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Policy, the Assistant Secretary for Threat Prevention and Security Policy (acting) and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Screening Coordination Office. In those roles, she led Departmental and interagency policy development and integration on behalf of the Secretary of Homeland Security. Serving over ten years in the DHS Office of Policy, Burriesci has developed security policies for both domestic and international initiatives related to immigration, border, transportation, document security, and access to critical infrastructure. She also led the international Visa Waiver Program and national REAL ID program offices.
Ms. Burriesci holds a master’s degree from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in Public Administration, and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Binghamton in Political Science.
