Stacey Fitzmaurice was named Executive Assistant Administrator for Operations Support in July 2018. She is responsible for implementing processes that strengthen Operations Support services to enhance TSA’s policy, plans and engagement; intelligence and analysis; and requirements and capabilities analysis efforts.

Most recently, she served as Deputy Executive Assistant Administrator for Security Operations and was responsible for managing TSA’s domestic security operations for over 53,000 employees and a $4.1 billion annual budget. She oversaw airport checkpoint, baggage, and air cargo screening operations for approximately 450 federalized airports, enforced regulatory compliance for transportation security, and delivered advanced explosives detection capabilities through TSA’s specialized behavior detection, canine, and transportation security explosive teams.

In her previous role as Deputy Assistant Administrator for Intelligence & Analysis, she led the efforts to strengthen TSA’s intelligence information sharing and counterterrorism programs and oversaw the implementation of recurrent criminal vetting while leading the development of the first set of priority intelligence requirements.

Prior to this role, Fitzmaurice served as the Division Director for Checkpoint Solutions and Integration within TSA’s Office of Security Capabilities, where she led TSA’s efforts to identify, acquire, and manage state-of-the-art screening technologies for all federalized airports. Fitzmaurice also oversaw the scientific validation of TSA’s Behavior Detection program and optimized protocols, driving efficiencies in the process.

Fitzmaurice served in several other operational and program management positions within TSA, including TSA’s Secure Flight and other vetting programs. Before beginning her federal career, she held management positions with the Airlines Reporting Corporation, US Airways, and Trans States Airlines.

Fitzmaurice has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Elon University and graduated from the DHS Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program in May 2013. She received the Secretary’s Award for Team Excellence in 2007 and TSA’s Leadership Award in 2009. In 2015, Fitzmaurice was presented with TSA’s Trailblazer Award in recognition of her pioneering efforts toward the advancement of women.
