TSA night with the Nationals

Monday, May 19, 2014

The fourth annual TSA night with the Washington Nationals saw the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport honor guard deliver the colors, Transportation Security Officer Tabitha Massengberg of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport sing the anthem and Administrator John Pistole start the game with the traditional shout of “play ball!” on May 16.

More than 250 TSA employees, families and friends attended the game and saw the Nationals defeat the Mets, 5-2. Four members of the honor guard delivered the colors at home plate and Massenberg sang the national anthem before an announced crowd of 34,413 fans. Pistole climbed atop the home team’s dugout and encouraged the teams to start the game with the shout of “Washington Nationals—play ball!”
