TSA employees were joined by their children, ages 5 to 18, at headquarters in Arlington, Va. for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® day with activities and entertainment for the young visitors.

The Office of Law Enforcement/ Federal Air Marshal Service chaired this year’s event. The event consisted of 13 self-guided activities for nearly 600 children. Activities included a DEA museum tour, K-9 demonstration, a prohibited items bingo game and hands-on workshop exploring countermeasures used against cyber criminals.

The event provides a unique opportunity for children to engage in an interactive, hands-on work environment while experiencing a day in the life of their parents. “My kids had an amazing day and learned a great deal about TSA and what I do every day,” said Assistant Administrator Jill Vaughan from the Office of Security Capabilities.

Each year, more than 37 million adults and youth participate in the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® day nationally along with approximately 3.5 million workplaces.
