TSA, industry representatives, elected officials and traveling passengers paid tribute to 95 World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans traveling through the Honor Flight Network at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on May 20, 2015. This flight marked the 400th US Airways Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., granting veterans the opportunity to visit memorials in the area, built and dedicated to honor their service. Since the first Honor Flight in 2005, more than 161,000 veterans have flown to Washington D.C. Part of TSA’s mission is to provide support to Honor Flight Network veterans by escorting them through the busy airport on their travel to the memorials.
