DES MOINES, IOWA – Jay Brainard, the Federal Security Director at Evansville (Ind.) Regional Airport, has been named Federal Security Director (FSD) at Des Moines (Iowa) International Airport, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today.

"Jay Brainard has been a strong leader at Evansville and I am confident the airport will be pleased with his commitment to security and customer service," said Rear Adm. David M. Stone, USN (Ret.), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for TSA. "The screening force will be well-served under Jay's proven management skills."

Brainard replaces Timothy McDonald, who had been the Des Moines FSD since 2002. McDonald announced his resignation Friday, citing personal reasons.
