WASHINGTON – Mike Aguilar, the Federal Security Director at San Diego International Airport, has been named Interim Federal Security Director (FSD) at Albuquerque (N.M.) International Sunport Airport, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today.

"Mike Aguilar embodies the professionalism and leadership qualities we value at TSA," said Rear Adm. David M. Stone, USN (Ret.), Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for the Transportation Security Administration.

"As one of our most experienced FSDs, I am confident in his abilities to successfully lead screeners and work closely with the airport staff."

Aguilar replaces Michael Dewey as the FSD for Albuquerque. Earlier today, Dewey announced his resignation with the intent to pursue a second career.

TSA expects to announce a permanent FSD in the coming weeks.
