National Press Release

WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced Kelly Hoggan as the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Global Strategies.

In this role, Hoggan will oversee TSA's engagement with foreign governments and international industry stakeholders as TSA continues to grow as a risk-based, intelligence-driven counterterrorism agency.

"Kelly's experience within the Office of Global Strategies has prepared him well for this new leadership role," said TSA Administrator John S. Pistole. "He will continue to build and foster relationships with the airline industry and foreign governments as TSA strives to provide the most effective security in the most efficient way."

Hoggan most recently served as the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Security Capabilities where he was responsible for the development, test and evaluation, acquisition and deployment, and maintenance of all TSA security technologies and systems. Previously, he was the Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Global Strategies and during that time he guided TSA's international compliance and outreach efforts in approximately 200 countries around the world. Hoggan also served as Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Security Operations where he was responsible for TSA's frontline operations at more than 450 airports nationwide.

Hoggan joined TSA in 2004 as a General Manager within the Office of Security Operations, where he was responsible for the development and oversight of organizational performance measurements, screening optimization and workforce utilization.

Hoggan brings 18 years of airline and aviation industry experience to this new position having served in multiple senior level positions within operations, planning, and process improvement in an airport operational environment prior to joining TSA.
