WASHINGTON, D.C. —  Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) made it into the Transportation Security Administration’s list of Top 10 List of most unusual items found nationwide at security checkpoints in 2021. TSA released the list in an on-line video it posted on the agency’s Twitter account.

What was the item from the airport that ranked as #10 on the Top 10 List? Read on . . .

On September 4, 2021, the security team at ACY detected six bullets that a traveler had artfully concealed inside a stick of deodorant. Let’s be clear, bullets are not permitted to be carried through a security checkpoint. It was a creative attempt to subvert security, but of course an X-ray machine can detect bullets! The item triggered an alarm, alerting the officers to take a closer look at what could have caused the alarm. The bullets were in the deodorant, and quite frankly, that stinks!
