Nashville Military Community to Receive New TSA PreCheck® “Serve with Honor, Travel with Ease” Benefits

Local Press Release
Wednesday, July 2, 2025

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In honor of the enduring sacrifice of our nation’s military families, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is proud to announce a new partnership with Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) to enhance the travel experience for members of the U.S. military community as part of a national campaign.

TSA and the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority are introducing expedited access at BNA’s TSA PreCheck® lanes for active-duty service members and their families. In support of our military service members and families, including those at nearby Fort Campbell, the Nashville International Airport is providing an Honor Lane which offers dedicated queuing for military families.

“We are proud to support our military members as they travel through BNA,” said TSA Federal Security Director for Tennessee Stephen Wood. “TSA BNA and the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority have a strong partnership with our local military community, and expanding TSA PreCheck benefits will directly assist the approximately 29,000 active-duty service members and their families stationed in the Nashville region. TSA is committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of military families by ensuring their travel is convenient and stress-free.”

TSA will also provide the following benefits to all military members and their families:

  • Gold Star families can enroll in TSA PreCheck at no cost.
  • Spouses of active-duty personnel can receive a $25 discount on the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee.
  • TSA PreCheck remains free for uniformed service members.

The TSA Cares program remains available for veterans and wounded warriors, providing personalized assistance through the screening process and ensuring a smooth and seamless screening experience.
