EL PASO, Texas – In honor of the enduring sacrifice of our nation’s military families, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is proud to announce a new partnership with El Paso International Airport (ELP) to enhance the travel experience for members of the U.S. military community as part of a national campaign.
TSA is introducing expedited access at ELP’s TSA PreCheck® lanes for active-duty service members and their families. In support of our military service members and families at nearby Fort Bliss, one of the largest military complexes in the U.S., ELP will offer front-of-the-line privileges for military families. Additionally, on certain days when larger crowds are expected, ELP may open a dedicated screening lane for members of our military community.
“We are proud to support our military members as they travel through ELP,” said TSA Federal Security Director for El Paso Jared Babin. “TSA ELP has a strong partnership with Fort Bliss, and expanding TSA PreCheck benefits will directly assist the approximately 39,000 active-duty military service members and their families stationed in the El Paso area. TSA is committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of military families by ensuring their travel is convenient and stress-free.”
TSA will also provide the following benefits to all military members and their families:
- Gold Star families can enroll in TSA PreCheck at no cost.
- Spouses of active-duty personnel can receive a $25 discount on the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee.
- TSA PreCheck remains free for uniformed service members.
The TSA Cares program remains available for veterans and wounded warriors, providing personalized assistance through the screening process and ensuring a smooth and seamless screening experience.
