TSA Administrator testifies on risk-based approach to securing the Transportation Systems

TSA Administrator John S. Pistole testified today before the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, on the agency’s efforts to implement new procedures to confront the evolving security threats to the nation’s transportation systems. The Administrator’s testimony focused on six risked-based initiatives: expedited screening, industry engagement, international engagement, surface transportation, Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) teams and workforce training.
