TSA Administrator John S. Pistole spoke at the 2014 Global Business Travel Association Convention July 30 in Los Angeles. The Administrator talked about transportation security initiatives that impact the global travel industry.

During a center stage interview with National Business Travel Association Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Michael McCormick, Administrator Pistole discussed how TSA’s intelligence-driven, risk-based strategy, which focuses on higher-risk and unknown passengers, impacts the travel industry. He also discussed how TSA continues to look for ways to integrate the latest advances in security technologies into its layered, risk-based security approach.

Held July 26 to 30, the GBTA convention, which attracted 7,000 attendees, is the largest annual gathering of business travel and meetings managers, meeting planners, procurement professionals and suppliers worldwide.
