TSA leadership speaks at Aviation Security Summit

Discussed importance of collaborative partnerships

Administrator John S. Pistole spoke at the 14th Annual Aviation Security Summit, presented by the American Association of Airport Executives in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security and TSA, Nov. 4 in Arlington, Va.

The two-day interactive security summit included discussions on risk-based security and screening operations, technology deployment and funding and the TSA Pre✓® private-sector application initiative.

Other TSA leadership speakers included Chief Risk Officer Kenneth Fletcher, Assistant Administrator for Intelligence and Analysis Stephen Sadler, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Security Policy and Industry Engagement Victoria Newhouse and Assistant Administrator for Security Capabilities John Sanders.

A highly attended event, this annual summit brings together key decision-makers from Congress and the Department of Homeland Security, airport operators and other industry leaders in security policy and operations.
