WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today named Kathleen (Lenz) Petrowsky as the Deputy Federal Security Director (DFSD) for the Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). Petrowsky has been serving as Acting DFSD for ORD since November 2005.
In this role, she will assist the Federal Security Director Mark Haught to oversee TSA operations at O’Hare airport.
“Kathleen has done a great job in the acting DFSD role and truly deserves this appointment,” said Mike Restovich, TSA’s Assistant Administrator, Office of Security Operations. “Her years of experience with the Federal Aviation Administration make her valuable to the organization as she brings a wealth of institutional knowledge to the industry.”
Petrowsky most recently served as the Assistant Federal Security Director of Operations for the TSA at ORD, overseeing Human Resources, Finance, 24-hour operations Center, Customer Service and Stakeholder Liaison offices. Petrowsky has been with TSA for five years, following her position in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as the Federal Security Manager assigned to O’Hare International Airport. Most of her federal career has been spent in the FAA, working in the fields of security liaison, regulatory enforcement and investigations.
Petrowsky is a recent graduate of the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, VA.
